BLF Press Newsletter- May 2017

Greetings!

It's hard to believe that it's already mid-May, but it is, and that means that summer is almost upon us. BLF Press will be busy this summer, so we thought we'd share some of our upcoming events with you. I also want to share that our first title, Lez Talk: A Collection of Black Lesbian Short Fiction, was named a 2017 Goldie finalist! We are honored and humbled that our work is being recognized by the Golden Crown Literary Society.

BLF Press Newsletter-April 2017

Greetings!

Today, April 5, 2017, marks the one-year anniversary of BLF Press's first release, Lez Talk: A Collection of Black Lesbian Short Fiction.  So much has happened with Lez Talk over the past year, including profiles on the Ms. Magazine blogHuffington Post, and meeting so many of you while we were on tour with the book.

When I started BLF Press in 2014, I wasn't sure what direction our work would take, I just knew that I wanted to create a space where Black lesbian and queer voices would be honored, and it was my good fortune that our first title was a cacophony of Black lesbian literary voices. Since then, we've published another anthology, as well as my collection of short stories, and we've got more exciting work on the horizon.

BLF Press Newsletter-March 2017

Greetings!

It's the Ides of March, and I'd hoped that today might be the beginning of the end for the current political administration. It isn't, at least not so far, so we'll just keep doing what we always do: supporting and amplifying the literary work of women of color. With that in mind, we're offering a 20% discount on your entire purchase for the rest of Women's History Month. Just enter WHM2017 at checkout. .

BLF Press Newsletter #10

Greetings!

Happy Summer Solstice! It's hard to believe that we're more than halfway though 2016.

If you're in the area, please join us this Saturday (June 25th) in Durham, NC at the LRoomBNB for the next stop on the Lez Talk Book Tour. LaToya Hankins, Krystal A. Smith, and Eternity Philops will be reading and signing copies of the anthology, so be sure to stop by to chat with some of your favorite Black lesbian authors. I'll be in attendance to talk more about our collaboration on the anthology.
